Last Sunday, I bought this new portable hard disk in Festival Super Mall – the Seagate Backup Plus Portable, 1TB.

Price at Php4,500, so far this was the cheapest Seagate Backup Plus Portable, 1TB available inside Festival Mall. Apology as I can’t remember the name of the store. Some store sell this device at >Php5000.
See the specs here.
Seagate Backup Plus Portable is bundled with Seagate Dashboard Agent (installer can be found saved inside the hard disk) software which you can install in your PC and use as backup tool. With the Dashboard Agent you have two backup options – automatic or scheduled. I set mine at “automatic” as I want to backup my files everytime I connect this portable hard drive to my computer.
Other good things about the Dashboard Agent is that you can share your photos and videos to your social network like Facebook and download pictures and videos from your social network.
Should you wish to save your Facebook photos and videos to your PC, you can connect your Facebook account to the Dashboard Agent (by clicking the button of Facebook in the Dashboard Agent). After you click it, you will be directed to Facebook Seagate App. You need to approve it in order to enable this feature in the Dashboard Agent.
After connecting your Facebook account to the Dashboard Agent, it will create a folder named My Online Documents and it will download your Facebook photos and videos and save them there. You may opt to Auto Save to automatically download your Facebook files everytime you connect the device to your PC.
Seagate Backup Plus Portable is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS.
