At first, when I first heard about Windows 8, I thought it will become available only in touch screen PCs or tablets only. I was wrong because Windows 8 can be used with keyboard, mouse or touch screen – and switch anytime.

The first version of Windows 8 is the Windows 8 itself. This basic edition includes updated Windows Explorer, Task Manager, better multi-monitor support and the ability to switch languages “on the fly”.

Windows 8 Pro is another edition of Windows 8 to be released which is designed for tech zealots and business professionals. It includes features of Windows 8 plus features for encryption, virtualization, PC management and domain connectivity.

Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro both run in 32- and 64-bit devices.

The third edition and the newest in the Windows family is the Windows RT (RT means Runtime) - also known as Windows on ARM or WOA. This edition will only be available pre-installed on PCs and tablets powered by ARM processors designed by Texas Instruments, Qualcomm and Nvidia. Included in the pre-installed package will be a touchscreen optimized version of Microsoft Office, which includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote.

2. Select Taguig City, Metro Manila from the Campus search field.
3. Enter your First Name, Middle Name and Last Name

The results will be shown on “View Result” pane on the same page.

When you see your name as passed, don’t forget to take note or print the advisory. This contains the important dates to remember and other important reminders.

For those who took the PUPCET in PUP Taguig last March 4, 2012, the result will be released on March 28, 2012. You may check whether you pass or fail via the PUP website or by dropping by at PUP Taguig Campus on the said date (just bring your school ID and claim stub).

Please take note that the result via website will not show you your grade. It will only show whether you pass or fail. You need to go to PUP Taguig and see the registrar if you want to get your grades.

I will be posting some info about Jeremy Lin at the end of this blog post but for now let me show you the Christian Nerd High Five which Jeremy Lin and his teammate Landry Fields used to do before games. It’s a handshake ritual which shows Jeremy Lin as a professing Christian like Tim Tebow of National Football League.

Some facts about Jeremy Lin:

• Since 1976, no one has scored more points – 136 – in his first five starts than Jeremy Lin. That’s more than Jordan. More than LeBron.
• He is a Harvard University graduate and an Asian American. Before he arrived, no one in the league is from Harvard and no one is Asian American.

Yeah! Six months from now, I will become a father. My wife is on her third month and both of us are excited to see our “finish product”. Funny because I’d like our baby to be a boy and my wife like a baby girl. Anyway, we know that God will give us a very beautiful baby.

As of this moment, I am not yet thinking of preparing to becoming a father. Perhaps, when my wife enters her third trimester, that’s the time I would really take time to plan and think of things to prepare for fatherhood. I’m taking one step at a time.
