Last Sunday, April 3, Ads and I went to Park Square (PS), actually we just passed by PS as we really heading to a drugstore or supermaket near Park Square to buy band aid and red wine (for my aching tummy). We passed by The Electronics Boutique shop and saw their tarpaulin or ads of an internet tablet they’ve just introduced. It’s still on introductory price.

The internet table I am referring to is the COBY KYROS INTERNET TABLET MID7015. It’s built is pretty similar to Samsung Galaxy Tab. We entered the store to see the said tablet and their sales representative (Glenn is his name) explained to us some of its features.

For those who have not yet known, Coby is a US-based company that manufactures consumer electronics products. If you’re going to visit their website, you will see vast line of electronics and gadgets. The first Coby product that I have ever encountered was their portable DVD. I saw it in SM Appliance Center.

Since I’ve been longing for a tablet (because I can use it during lecture time in school)  and for a low price of P6,995, I decided to get one.

Here are the photos of my Coby Kyros MID7015:

The package includes a protective case so you don’t have to buy for it. The protective case looks durable anyway.

You can use the protective case as a stand as shown on the photo above.

The following are the cool features of Coby Kyros MID7015 [via Coby]:

  • Large 7” Resistive Touchscreen
  • Connect to the Internet wirelessly
  • Browse the web and check e-mail
  • Watch videos on YouTube
  • Integrated flash memory
  • Built-in 4GB internal memory
  • microSD card slot(upgrade up to 16GB)
  • Connect and enjoy Full 1080p on your HDTV via a HDMI cable
  • Discover and download apps to play games, check the weather, listen to the radio, and more with AppsLib
  • Download and read thousands of books with the included Aldiko E-book reader application
  • View pages in portrait or landscape with automatic orientation detection
  • Full-size USB connection enables keyboard of your tablet
  • USB 2.0 Hi-speed for fast file transfers
  • Rechargeable lithium-polymer battery

I would like to add that aside from the features I enumerated above, you can connect mouse, keyboard or USB flashdisk, with capacity of up to 8GB, to the device. So if you’re going to type for a longer time, you can use a normal keyboard instead of the touch keyboard installed on the device.
