Becoming a Father
Feb 19th
Yeah! Six months from now, I will become a father. My wife is on her third month and both of us are excited to see our “finish product”. Funny because I’d like our baby to be a boy and my wife like a baby girl. Anyway, we know that God will give us a very beautiful baby.
As of this moment, I am not yet thinking of preparing to becoming a father. Perhaps, when my wife enters her third trimester, that’s the time I would really take time to plan and think of things to prepare for fatherhood. I’m taking one More >

Pick-up lines? I could say that everyone knows about this. Perhaps, you have already composed your own or just borrowed one just to impress the love of your life. Let’s try this one:
Front View. Side View. Top View. Back View. Meron ka pa bang alam na ibang view? Girl replies, “Wala na.. bakit?” Guy shoots back with his well-rehearsed line “Ako meron pang isa,.. labyu!” BOOM!
Ogie Alcasid (portraying the role of Boy Pick Up of GMA 7′s Bubble Gang) and Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago are well-known in the Philippines for their pick up lines. Honestly, every time I see Sen. Santiago More >

This new Samsung TV Ad will surely gain a number of comments from Apple devotees.

[Free E-Book] Beyond Sunday: A Step By Step Guide To Creating And Sustaining A Vision For Your Worship Team

David Santistevan released recently a resource for worship leader which I believe will make an impact on the life of every worship leader.
Beyond Sunday: A Step By Step Guide to Creating and Sustaining A Vision for Your Worship Team is an e-book available for free download from David’s blog.
I just finished downloading my own copy and I can cite 2 good things about Beyond Sunday: it’s only 19 pages so you can finish reading it in one sitting and David provided a worksheet which helps the reader do the application right after the reading.
I will start reading this e-book later and More >
Fresh Momentum for Your Worship Team
Nov 21st
Being a worship director or a worship team head of your church entails a great responsibility not only to your own spiritual life and self-motivation but also to your team mates.
One problem that we, worship leaders, face is keeping up the fire or the so called momentum in our team. How many of us will agree that many times our ministry is in the wave-like scenario. Sometimes we’re high serving God, very enthusiastic and sometimes, sad to say, we’re very low and almost giving up serving God.
According to Church Crunch, to keep the team on fire, we need to generate More >
Thinking What to Post
Nov 20th
It’s been quite some time since my last post here in Think LAB (getting used with this new name of our blog, stands for Think Like A Beginner).
Got a lot of things in my head to blog. Wedding, Tech, Blogging are some of the ideas. But I’m running out of time and words to write.
While the page views of this blog is diminishing little by little, day after day, I’m doing my very best effort to boost up the page views once again. Gone were the days when this blog was hitting 3000 – 5000 page views and thousands of More >
Devil Found in a Church Art
Nov 7th
This is the image of Giotto fresco at the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi, part of the series Giotto painted in the 13th century.
What a masterpiece. Yes? However, Italian historian Chiara Frugone discovered that there’s an image of the devil hidden in the clouds of the fresco. According to Frugone, the image shows a profile of a figure with a hooked nose, a sly smile and dark horns hidden among the clouds.
Can you see the devil from the zoomed image?
According to the chief restorer of the Basilica, Sergio Fusetti, Giotto may have painted the image of the devil among More >

Think Like A Beginner is now an Unthinker
Oct 30th
A couple of days ago, we blogged about a new social network, UNTHINK.COM, which is claiming to be an “anti-facebook” type of social network. And yesterday, we signed up for our very own account with Unthink so we will be able to know what’s really inside, however, joining with Unthink is not as instant as joining a public network where upon joining you will get instantly a confirmation email and then that’s it. You will need an invitation code before you can activate or create your account. Luckily enough, today, we got our invitation code from Unthink.

Pastor Joel Osteen Says Mormons are Christians
Oct 28th
In his interview with Washington Times, Lakewood Church’s pastor Joel Osteen said that Mormons are Christians although he wasn’t sure if that is the purest form of Christianity. This statement was in disagreement with Rev. Robert Jeffress, who remarked that GOP (Grand Old Party or Republican Party) Candidate Mitt Romney’s mormon faith was a cult.

Remember the holographic concept of iPhone 5 which was released in different video website?
Now, let’s take see how Microsoft see the future of technology. Three days ago Microsoft Office’s YouTube channel released this concept video showing the face of productivity in the future.

UNTHINK.COM: A New “Anti-Facebook” Social Network
Oct 27th
What can you say about this newly launched social network Unthink?
Unthink.com claims that they are “anti-facebook” and promises to give users complete control over their personal data.
Here’s the reason why they claim themselves as an “anti-facebook” social network:
- Unthink makes all user data private by default. Users may then allow others to see the information they want public, and keep private anything they want private.
- Unthink doesn’t sell user data to companies. Instead, users can choose to have specific brands “sponsor” their pages. Any users who don’t want corporate sponsorship can pay a $2-a-year fee to use the service.
- Unthink users may choose how brands More >

Chat With Twitter Friends Made Possible by Bonfire Apps
Oct 26th
Wishing that Twitter would have an IM or chat feature so you can talk with your Twitter friends right then and there?
Wish granted! Tadan!
Bonfire, a third-party app which just launched today, made this “chatting” or “IM-ing” possible with Twitter. This app adds an IM-style chat to twitter.com and can be downloaded as an extension for Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari browsers. Bonfire lets you know which users are online as long as they have Bonfire installed, too, and allows you to chat with those users you follow.

Oct 23rd
Cinematographer Seamus McGarvey revealed Thursday last week that he used iPhone to shoot footage for the upcoming high-budget film “The Avengers” (will be released on May 4, 2012).
“On ‘The Avengers,’ I did a couple of shots on the iPhone and they are in the movie,” McGarvey said. “In fact they are in the trailer!”
McGarvey did not specify, though, which shots were taken by the iPhone handset and which model was used to record the scenes. However, only 2 iPhones with video recording capabilities were available during the shooting in April – either iPhone 3Gs which has a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera or the 5-megapixel, 720p More >
Excessive Texting and Use of Gadgets: Bad for Neck, Shoulder and Head
Oct 21st
This may not sound good for those who spend a lot of time looking down at your cellphone and texting or reading your e-book.
Excessive texting and use of mobile devices may lead to something chiropractors are calling “Text Neck” which symptoms include headache, neck, back and/or shoulder pain, as well as numbness and tingling of the upper extremities.
According to the Text-Neck Institute, when someone has their head flexed forward while looking down at the screen on their hand held mobile device for long periods of time, the bones and muscles of the spine adapt to that posture and postural change ensues. More >

Amazed with Bladeless Fan
Oct 17th
While Ads and I were strolling around SM Makati yesterday, this new electric fan technology caught our attention.
There are two models available: the round one and the oval one. Oval model’s price is quite higher than the round one.
Yes, these are electric fans minus the blades. We’re amazed with this because here in the Philippines we are used with electric fans with blades. Bladeless fan is best for those who have babies at home because their fingers are safe. If you’ll ask us how cold is the air coming out, they’re pretty cool, I’m just not sure if it’s because the More >
